URJ Camp Newman Campus

Nestled in the hills and natural beauty along Porter Creek Road, URJ Camp Newman is a 500-acre year-round retreat center and summer camp that serves approximately 350 guests annually, expanding to accommodate up to 700 during the summer months.

In 2017, the devastating Tubbs Fire swept through the region, destroying over 80 structures on the property—including more than 100,000 square feet of housing, communal spaces, and critical camp facilities. The loss was profound, but the commitment to rebuild and restore the spirit of Camp Newman became a unifying mission for the entire URJ community.

FDC was honored to be selected as the Design-Build contractor for this ambitious and deeply meaningful project. Since 2019, FDC has worked hand-in-hand with URJ Camp Newman, providing comprehensive pre-construction and construction services—not only for immediate rebuilding efforts, but also for the long-term master planning of the campus.

This ongoing collaboration reflects a shared dedication to revitalizing a beloved space where generations gather to learn, grow, and connect. We are proud to contribute to Camp Newman’s renewal and look forward to continuing this partnership in the years ahead.
