Trinchero Family Wineries and Facilities

For almost 4 decades, FDC has partnered with the Trinchero Family—producers of Sutter Home wines—in the development and expansion of their world-class wine production and hospitality facilities in both Lodi and St. Helena, California.

In Lodi, the Trinchero Family developed a 297-acre, high-capacity production facility designed with long-term growth in mind. The site features an extensive range of tanks—from 2,500 to 360,000 gallons—with an impressive capacity of 50 million gallons of juice and the ability to process 125,000 tons of fruit annually. Supporting infrastructure includes a 660 kW photovoltaic system, a modern wastewater treatment plant, administrative offices, and various equipment and service buildings. The most recent addition to the campus includes a 750,000-square-foot bottling and automated palletized storage warehouse, 80,000 square feet of production support space, and a bottling line capable of processing 600 bottles per minute—bringing total production capacity to 17 million cases annually.

In St. Helena, FDC collaborated once again with the Trinchero Family to realize their vision for a luxury winery, wine cave, and hospitality center. Designed with culinary excellence in mind, the hospitality center features a full commercial kitchen built for celebrity chef Jeff Starr, complete with custom appliances, a pizza oven, marble countertops, and bespoke lighting. The final phase of the estate—the 7,500-square-foot Trinchero Tasting Room—offers a rich and modern experience with both public and private tasting areas, event spaces, and patios with sweeping valley views. Thoughtfully appointed with leather, brass, and custom design elements, the tasting room reflects the evolving spirit of the Trinchero Family’s next generation.

Together, these projects showcase FDC’s ability to deliver complex, large-scale production facilities alongside high-end, guest-focused hospitality spaces—all in service of a growing and innovative wine legacy.
