Williams Selyem Barrel Building
Williams Selyem’s Barrel Building, also referred to as Building 2, is a 5,000-square-foot barrel storage facility, purpose-built to support Williams Selyem’s aging and temperature-sensitive winemaking operations. Designed with operational efficiency and integration in mind, the exterior of this building includes a mechanical pad that houses the central chillers and glycol reservoir system. This centralized mechanical hub plays a vital role in climate control across the entire campus, supplying chilled glycol to fermentation tanks and cold rooms via a strategically engineered infrastructure.
One of the most notable features of Building 2 is the custom-designed pipe bridge that spans the 22-foot-wide drive aisle connecting it to Building 3. This overhead structure safely carries mechanical piping and utilities between the two buildings, allowing for seamless temperature regulation and process coordination without disrupting traffic flow below. The barrel building’s function and connectivity exemplify the thoughtful planning and technical execution that define the Williams Selyem winemaking campus.
