After 17 months of construction, the much-anticipated Russian River Brewing Company facility in Windsor is now complete—a state-of-the-art, 120,000-square-foot brewery that delivers a fully immersive craft beer experience from brewing to bottling to tasting.

Thoughtfully divided into three distinct sections, each portion of the facility serves a unique operational purpose and showcases a different construction method. On the west end, wood-framed construction houses the brewery’s hospitality spaces and administrative offices, providing a warm and welcoming environment for guests. The central portion, constructed from precast concrete, is the heart of production—home to brewing, bottling, packaging, and shipping operations. The east end, built with a pre-engineered metal structure, is dedicated to barrel aging the brewery’s iconic sour beers.

One of the most unique features of the facility is the Koelschip—a traditional cooling vessel located in the “Funky Brewery” at the highest point of the building. Lined with untreated wood, the Koelschip is designed to cultivate ambient yeasts and bacteria, evoking the techniques of old-world abbeys and adding complexity to Russian River’s barrel-aged beers.
